When do I need to arrive at the competition?
Please ask your studio director when he or she wants you to arrive at the competition. Because we tend to run early, we ask that all dancers be ready to dance at least 1 hour before their scheduled time. Anyone in the audience hoping to watch a particular dancer should be there 1 hour ahead of time as well.

How do I know when my son/daughter is dancing?
The schedule will be available at least seven days before your competition date — contact studio owners for this information.

Where is the exact location of the competition?
​Contact your studio owner. They have the venue, location, and address.

Do you have different levels of competition?
Yes, we have 3 levels.
- RECREATIONAL: This level consists of dancers who take less than 3 hours of dance classes per week.
- INTERMEDIATE: This level consists of dancers who take less than 5 hours of dance classes per week.
- ADVANCED: This level consists of dancers who take more than 5 hours of dance classes per week.
What is the cut-off date for the age categories?
All ages, including solos, are calculated as of January 1.
- Mini: 3-4
- Tini: 5-6
- Petite: 7-8
- Pre Jr: 9-10
- Junior: 11-12
- Teen: 13-15
- Senior: 16-19

Do you assign dressing room space?
Yes, we assign a dressing room space.
Do you permit the use of fog machines as props?
No form of liquid, gel, aerosol, or glitter may be used that can adversely affect the dancing surface.
Where do I bring my props when I get to the competition?
When you arrive, please check immediately with the back Stage Manager (located behind the stage).
Will there be a snack bar open at the competition?
Yes, there will be a snack bar open.
What does it mean to go up for the title?
All solos that are registered at the advanced or intermediate level can be entered under the solo title category.
What are your fees?
Fees are released to studio owners or competition directors only.
Do you accept independent entries?
Yes.
How do I get a refund for my child?
There are no refunds after the deadline date. For further information, please contact your studio director.
How do we register in advance?

My family wants to come to watch the competition. Is it free to watch?
Yes.
Is videotaping/taking photographs allowed at the competition?
No video recording is allowed. No photography is allowed when a specifically licensed photographer is present at the event. Flash photography is never allowed. The use of video recording or unauthorized photography may lead to an entry being "adjudicated only."
Once I get on-site, how do I check in/register if I am a Studio Director/Teacher?
All Studio Directors or representatives must check in at the WADC check-in table. There you will receive your Wild About Dance Competition ID, specific dressing room assignment, complimentary program, and swag bag.
After the Competition: I forgot to order a photo/video. Who do I contact?
Videos and photos are purchased through the DanceBUG app
How do I order a plaque or trophy?
Typically, we have trophies for sale on-site. If not, you may order At the merchandise table.
How do I get my Judges' Critiques?
All audio judges' critiques will be available to the studio within a week of your competition.

Are Videos & Photos posted on the Wild About Dance Competition website?
We post random selections of photos from every event on Instagram and Facebook from our professional photographers and videographers.

I just received my schedule and we have a very quick costume change. What should we do?
Please see the back stage manager. During the event, they will work with you. We try to allow at least three numbers for your students to change. Please have them do so as quickly as possible and let the back stage manager know when they are ready to perform. If you have a special request that needs to be handled before the event, please email dirlisa@wildadc.com.
What forms of payment do you accept at the event?
We accept cash, checks, credit cards, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal for all merchandise purchases.
I have students who are in all three competition levels in a routine. Where do I place them?
Please choose the division where the majority of your dancers fall.
Does every performer receive an award?
YES! Everyone who performs at Wild About Dance Competition receives an award.
